walt's Story
After graduation, went to work at Walgreens in Crestwood mall. 1963 enlisted in the army. Deployed to Ft. Benning, GA, Assigned to the 188th 11 Air Assault Division (Test). Later went to jump school and then ranger school. 1965 re-assigned to 1/8th Cav in 1st Cav division. Deployed to Vietnam and returned home 1966 not completely whole but doable. e Arts. Later attended SLU, MO U. and finally Maryville University and graduated w/2 degrees, Management and Human Resources. Worked here, worked there, worked everywhere. St Louis, Oklahoma City, Virginia (Hampton Roads). Attended ODU, i.e., Old Dominion. Master's degree in Engineering. Traveled around the US for work. Finally retired from the last employer, Northrop Grumman and the military as a Major. Returned to St. Peters where I live now in a big 4-bedroom house and 2 pups that keep me company.
